Why We Gather With the Seasons
Why We Gather With the Seasons
At Aluma, these seasonal events aren’t just something we host because they sound nice.
They come from something I see every single day in practice. People are doing all the right things, but still feel off.
Tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix.
Tight, even after stretching.
Unmotivated, disconnected, I’ve been this person. I’ve felt off and always “catching up” to myself, and couldn’t pin point why.
And more often than not, it’s not because something is wrong.
It’s because, I’ve found, we are trying to live the same way all year long.
What Happens When You’re Out of Rhythm
This is where things start to feel subtle… and then not so subtle.
your energy doesn’t match what your life is asking of you
your mood feels harder to regulate
your body holds onto tension more easily
you feel disconnected from your routines, even the ones you usually enjoy
Not because you’ve lost discipline, but because you’re out of sync with what your body might need in the current moment.
Why These Transitions Matter
Nature doesn’t skip transitions….
Animals adjust.
Plants prepare.
Everything shifts before the season fully arrives.
We’re really the only ones trying to override that process.
These events are a space for us to come back to it.
To actually feel the shift happening in your body, instead of pushing through it.
Because the truth is, the way you enter a season/transition period/time of change shapes how you experience it.
Why Come to All Five?
You don’t have to come to every event for it to be meaningful.
But if you do… something different starts to happen.
You begin to notice patterns in yourself.
You start anticipating your energy shifts instead of being surprised by them.
You feel more steady, more regulated, more in tune.
It stops feeling like you’re constantly starting over,
and more like you’re moving with something.
FLOW.
What These Events Actually Feel Like
They’re not lectures. They aren’t meant to feel overwhelming, and you don’t need to “get it right.”
They’re slow, intentional, and meant to let you “hear” through your body. We move a little. We breathe. We learn just enough to understand what’s happening and what we feel. We use acupuncture, ritual, and simple practices to help it land in the body.
It’s less about doing more, and more about giving your body a moment to catch up.
A Different Way to Approach Your Health
I don’t think most people need more discipline.
I think they need a way of moving through life that actually supports them. When you start aligning with the seasons, things shift in a quieter way:
your energy feels more usable
rest actually feels like rest
your emotions don’t feel as stuck
your body feels like something you can listen to, instead of fight with.

An Invitation
If you’ve been feeling off (but can’t quite explain why), this is a really good place to start.
Not by changing everything.
Just by paying attention to what season you’re in, and letting your body meet you there. 💜
